Stories of healing, loss, and becoming

And Still, I Grew

This upcoming memoir is drawn from lived experience and shaped by loss, healing, and the quiet work of becoming. Through personal storytelling, I explore what it means to keep going after life changes you — and how resilience is often found in the smallest moments.

In the months leading up to its release, I’ll be sharing reflections, excerpts, and glimpses into the journey behind the book. If you’re carrying your own story, I hope this work reminds you that you’re not alone.

About MATTHEW FARRELL

Black and white photo of a young man with short, dark hair, smiling, wearing a striped shirt over a dark t-shirt with a necklace, against a plain wall.

I share my own lived experience through writing and speaking, not as an expert with answers, but as someone who has walked through grief and learned how to keep going. My work is rooted in honesty — in naming what hurts, what remains, and what slowly begins to grow after everything changes.

Through my writing, I explore themes of loss, resilience, and becoming, offering reflection for those learning how to carry their past while still moving forward. This community is an invitation to be seen, to reflect, and to remember that none of us are alone in the stories we hold.
